We invite you to schedule your appointment today!

Dental crowns are durable, tooth-shaped restorations that cover or cap the visible surfaces of weak or damaged teeth, restoring their strength, form, and function. Same-day crowns are created in-house in a single appointment from a compressed CEREC e.max block. This material offers exceptional strength and resilience, while closely mimicking the translucency and appearance of your natural tooth enamel.

The following are some reasons Dr. Wytko may recommend a dental crown:

  • To restore teeth with deep decay or those with large fillings and not much tooth structure remaining
  • To strengthen chipped, damaged, broken, or cracked teeth, helping prevent further damage
  • To protect teeth after root canal therapy, helping restore their strength and prevent their breakage
  • To repair the length and strength of teeth severely worn from habitual grinding and clenching, a condition known as bruxism
  • To close gaps or uneven spaces between your teeth
  • To replace missing teeth by supporting fixed dental bridges or covering dental implants
  • To enhance your smile by improving the size, color, length, shape, alignment, or overall appearance of teeth

Dr. Wytko will prepare your affected tooth by removing some of its structure to accommodate your new restoration. Next, she will use our state-of-the-art intraoral scanner to capture digital impressions of your prepared tooth and the surrounding structures without the need for gooey or messy putty. Dr. Wytko will use computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) technology to design your virtual crown with exceptional accuracy and precision.

The next step is sending the virtual model of your crown to our in-house milling unit, which will create your new restoration from a biocompatible material that’s safe for your smile. When ready, Dr. Wytko will bond your new aesthetic crown to your prepared tooth and make any needed adjustments for a comfortable fit and optimal function.

Unlike traditional crowns, which typically require multiple appointments and the use of temporary restorations while your new crowns are being created, our same-day restorations will allow you to leave our office with a brand-new, healthy, and beautiful smile.
